Sovcomflot cautiously optimistic following decent first half-year

Russia's Sovcomflot turned a deficit into a decent profit in the first half of the year. Growth in the first months exceeded the company's own expectations, and the company's CEO is "cautiously optimistic" about the second half of the year.

Russian tanker carrier Sovcomflot turned a deficit into a profit in the first six months of the year, shows the company's half-year interim report.

The result in the first half-year came to a USD 91 million profit, and the tanker carrier thereby wipes out last year's USD 57.8 million deficit for the same period.
