Avance Gas orders new VLGCs

Gas ship operator Avance Gas has just placed an order for new ships from a South Korean yard. The shipping company grew in a generally strong third quarter for shipowners with large gas vessels.

In the midst of a strong market for shipowners with major gas ships, Avance Gas has now decided to order new ships.

The gas ship operator has just placed orders for two LPG newbuilds from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, DSME, in South Korea. The two ships of 91,000 cbm each are expected delivered in the fourth quarter 2021 and the first quarter 2022, says the shipping company in a press release.
