Three seafarers injured in serious accident on Torm vessel

Three crew members were injured two days ago during a drill on a Danish-flagged Torm vessel off the coast of Africa. The seafarers fell 20 meters when they were being lowered into a lifeboat.

Three seafarers were injured in an accident on board a Torm ship.

The accident happened two days ago when a cable burst while the three crew members were being lifted by a crane to a lifeboat during a drill on Danish-flagged ship Torm Maren. When the wire snapped, the seafarers fell 20 meters and were severely injured, Torm tells ShippingWatch.
