DHT reports rates of more than USD 100,000 in the second quarter

DHT Holdings' profit grows significantly in the first quarter 2020. This benefits the shareholders, who receive USD 51.4 million in dividends. Rates were even higher in the second quarter.

DHT Holdings reports significant growth in the first quarter, in which the tanker sector was driven by a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia that flooded the market with crude oil.

The bottom line for the tanker operator, which is listed in New York but has Norwegian management, came to a profit of USD 72.2 million, up from a profit of USD 17.7 million in the same period 2019.
