Torm reports USD 56.4 million profit for first quarter

Torm achieved a result of USD 56.4 million after taxes for the first quarter. This is the strongest start to a year in a decade, says Executive Director Jacob Meldgaard. The soaring market continues in the second quarter.

Product tanker shipping company Torm reports the strongest start to a year in a decade, with a profit of USD 56.4 million after taxes in the first quarter.

This is more than double the result of the same period 2019, when the company's profit came to USD 23.3 million, according to the interim report published Thursday.
