Nordic American Tankers expects upturn to continue

Prospects are good for the tanker market in both the second half of the year and throughout 2021, projects Nordic American Tankers. The shipping company boosted its profits significantly in the first quarter and doubled dividend payments to its shareholders.

Nordic American Tankers' expects positive developments in the second half of the year and throughout next year, writes the Bermuda-based and New York-listed tanker shipping company in its financial report for the first three months of 2020.

In the report, the shipping company notes that a "muted supply of ships creates a base for a solid future of the tanker industry".
