Malta denies responsibility for migrants aboard Maersk ship

The situation aboard Maersk Etienne is not Malta's responsibility, the country's prime minister Robert Abela asserted Sunday. "It ships under a Danish flag and was not in our SAR area," he said, according to several local media.

Malta will not be accepting the 27 migrants that have now spent more than a month aboard tanker Maersk Etienne, Malta's Prime Minister, Robert Abela, stated Sunday.
