Scorpio Tankers wins last year's race on operating margins – 2021 looks tough

Scorpio Tankers wins the earnings race in 2020 within product tanker over competitors Hafnia, Torm, d'Amico and Ardmore Shipping, shows a ranking prepared for ShippingWatch by Drewry. But a weak end to 2020 has carried over into 2021.

New York/Monaco-based Scorpio Tankers takes the trophy for the best operating margin in 2020 among its major competitors within product tanker, reveals a ranking drawn up by maritime and supply chain consultancy firm Drewry on behalf of ShippingWatch.

Here, Drewry ranks the world's five largest product tanker carriers' earnings capacity and results in 2020.
