Euronav teams up with shipyard to build ammonia-fitted vessels

With three newbuilds, tanker carrier Euronav will explore the options for using ammonia as fuel for major tanker vessels as part of a joint development program with Hyundai Heavy Industries.

Tanker carrier Euronav is joining forces with South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries and classification companies Lloyd's Register and DNV to accelerate the development of Suezmax and VLCC tankers that can use ammonia as fuel.
