Low point for tanker in third quarter: "The worst is behind us"

The bottom has been reached in the tanker market, which has triggered large deficits for carriers this year, says Norden CEO Jan Rindbo while expecting improvements in the coming year.

The third quarter proved as slow and strained for tanker carriers as the previous quarters of 2021.

Figures from product tanker majors such as Norden, Concordia Maritime and crude oil carriers like Euronav, Teekay Tankers and DHT have so far revealed massive losses in the most recent quarterly reports.
