Scorpio Tankers reports loss in Q1, continues selling ships

Tanker carrier Scorpio Tankers reports selling additional ships after booking a loss in the first quarter. The ship sales are made to infuse the carrier with liquidity following major losses resulting from pressure on the tanker market.

Product tanker carrier Scorpio Tankers finished the year’s first quarter with a net loss of USD 84.4m against a net loss of USD 62.4m in the same period of 2021, the company writes in a statement.
