Frontline acquires additional Euronav shares

Once again, Frontline buys shares in merger target Euronav and thus continues the acquisition raid with Belgian shipping family Saverys, which is fighting to prevent a merger through its company CMB.

Tanker operator Frontline has once again increased its share in Belgian company Euronav.

This time, roughly 6 million shares have been acquired, meaning Frontline has increased its ownership share by almost 3%, which will be added to the existing share of 12%, according to a stock exchange announcement.
