Ardmore achieves record result in second quarter

As the first of the big product tanker carriers to publish quarterly figures, Ardmore presents a markedly strong result for this year’s second quarter. CEO Anthony Gurnees says the market is solid.

Ardmore has achieved a second-quarter net profit of USD 28.8m, shows the tanker shipping company’s interim report, thus putting words and figures on the industry’s upswing that’s now started to materialize in earnest.

In the same quarter last year, net profit totaled a deficit of USD 8.2m, but 2022 has seriously shifted the development and outlook for the sector, which also includes shipping companies such as Hafnia, Torm and Scorpio.
