Odfjell exits second quarter with best result in 15 years

Chemical tanker carrier Odfjell books its best quarterly result since 2007 following years of seeing a squeezed market, and the company expects the positive trend to continue in the third quarter. Odfjell also scales back its pool fleet by 14 ships. Updated.

Odfjell closes the books on a second quarter that saw the best result in 15 years for the chemical tanker shipping company.

Thus, the bottom line reveals a net result of USD 30m against a deficit of USD 7.8m in the same quarter of 2021, according to the financial report – the first one published since Kristian Mørch stepped down as CEO of the Norwegian carrier.
