Cosco orders methanol ships for nearly three billion dollars

Chinese liner company Cosco has ordered 12 container ships capable of sailing on methanol in addition to conventional fuel for almost USD 3bn.

Container carrier Cosco Shipping Holdings orders 12 dual-fuel box ships which, besides conventional ship fuel, will be able to sail on methanol, the Chinese company writes in a notice to the stock exchange in Hong Kong.
