Belgian major shareholder urging full new strategy for Euronav

The tanker carrier’s current board is stuck with the wrong line of thinking for the company. Only new leadership can get Euronav back on track, says big shareholder CMB.

Belgian shipping family Saverys wants to maintain Euronav as an independent carrier, also recommending the addition of two new business areas upon appointing a new board of directors, writes Saverys-owned Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) in a statement ahead of an extraordinary meeting among shareholders planned for March 23.
