Flex LNG chief exec: The spot market doesn't work anymore

The profit booked from one voyage in the LNG spot market can be so huge that it exceeds more than a year’s earnings from a ship, says chief executive Øystein Kalleklev.

The volatile spot rates for liquefied natural gas (LNG) have been so extreme throughout the past year that it no longer makes sense to focus on the spot rate market.
