Ardmore Shipping hit by slight dip in revenue and earnings

The Irish chemical and product tanker company saw a decline in the top and bottom line in the second quarter, but freight rates are still significantly above breakeven.

Seasonal fluctuations and a global economy that has gradually shown signs of weakness are part of the explanation for Ardmore Shipping’s slight decline in top and bottom line in the second quarter compared to the previous year, says Anthony Gurnee, CEO of the Irish chemical and product tanker carrier in the company’s Q2 report.
