EU set to import record-amounts of liquefied gas from Russia this year

The European Union is set to surpass last year’s large-scale LNG purchases from Russia despite ambitions of becoming independent from fossil fuels from the warring country.

Financial Times reports that EU member states are on track to break their own record of importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia in one year.
