EU expected to ditch ban on tanker sales to Russia

Older tankers sold to Russian owners will allegedly have to be reported to the authorities as part of the EU’s latest round of sanctions, Reuters reports.

The EU’s 12th sanctions package is expected to include measures against Russia’s shadow fleet, but a direct ban on the sale of used tankers to Russian owners seems to be removed from the text, reports Reuters.
