Analyst: Refinery at the center of Hafnia case has remarkably close ties to Russia

It cannot be ruled out that Nayara Energy’s profits are helping to finance the war in Ukraine, according to a Harvard researcher.

While the trade of Russian oil through India is legal, Nayara Energy – which is part of an investigation of Hafnia’s adherence to EU-sanctions – is a special case with stronger than average ties to Russia.
