Maersk Tankers exercises option for four ammonia vessels

The Danish tanker operator is exercising an option to build four more new ammonia carriers in a shipyard order that could reach ten vessels.

Maersk Tankers is doubling its order for large ammonia carriers to a total of eight at a South Korean shipyard, which will likely mean an additional investment of around USD 500m.
