Insurance major: Shadow fleet tankers involved in over 50 accidents

The costs often fall on governments or other marine insurers if a ship is involved in an accident, writes Allianz.

Russian tankers, part of the so-called shadow fleet, have been involved in at least 50 incidents over the past three years, according to insurance company Allianz in the prelude to a major report on risks at sea, which will be published next week.
