Odfjell: Chemical tanker slowly improving

Norwegian Odfjell expects a stronger market for chemical tanker in the 4th quarter. The carrier's interim report shows a small bottom line deficit in the 3rd quarter.

Norwegian chemical tanker carrier Odfjell reduced its loss in the 3rd quarter 2014 to a USD 9 million net deficit, compared to the second quarter this year. However, going back one year, the carrier achieved a positive bottom line of USD 9 million, according to the interim report.

The operating profit (EBITDA) came to USD 26 million, down from USD 30 million in the same period 2013, activity finished in line with the period before the summer, says Odfjell.
