Tanker carrier Team Tankers, formerly Eitzen Chemical, has been through a lot over the past year and a half. The carrier recently replaced its CEO, and one of new Chief Executive Hans Feringa's primary tasks will be to improve the result even further for the carrier, which after years of deficits is now back with black figures on the bottom line.
The interim report for the second quarter, published Friday morning, shows that Team Tankers in the second quarter this year achieved a revenue of USD 79.3 million, a setback compared to the same period 2014 when the carrier's revenue came to USD 90.03 million. However, in the same period the carrier managed to deliver a significantly improved result, at a profit of USD 4.5 million in the second quarter 2015 compared to a deficit of USD 24.8 million in the same period last year.
