New analysis casts doubts on tanker recovery

The crude oil and product tanker boom in 2015 is vulnerable and could prove to be more short-lived than investors expect, notes Danish Ship Finance in a new critical analysis of the global shipping markets.

The tanker boom in the crude and product sectors in 2015 could turn out to be more short-lived than shipowners and investors would like to hear. Best case scenario is that the current recovery in the two sectors lasts throughout 2016, though developments beyond this point look highly uncertain, notes Danish Ship Finance in a new analysis in its bi-annual Shipping Market Review on the international shipping markets.
