Scorpio Tankers suffers first quarter setback

Scorpio Tankers delivered an adjusted net result of USD 30.5 million for the first three months of the year, a decline from the same period last year, according to the interim report.

The first three months of the year seem to indicate that the boom in the product tanker market is losing speed. At any rate, profits at tanker carrier Scorpio Tankers finished less strong in the first quarter than in the same period last year, according to the carrier's first quarter interim report. The New York-listed carrier delivered an adjusted net result of USD 30.5 million.
