Nordic Tankers delivers modest profit in 2015 with fewer ships

With a significantly reduced fleet, Nordic Tankers reported a net profit of USD 17,000 in 2015. Management in the Triton-owned chemical carrier describe the year as a turn around.

Correction: ShippingWatch reported on Tuesday that Nordic Tankers delivered a USD 17 million profit. The correct figure is USD 17,000.

After several years of significant losses for Nordic Tankers, which is owned by capital fund Triton, the carrier delivered a net result of USD 17,000 in 2015 against a deficit the previous year of USD 27 million, according to the annual report for Nordic Tankers LuxCo.
