Investment bank: Hafnia Tankers equipped for acquisitions

US-based investment bank Seaport Global projects that IPO contender Hafnia Tankers will use its strong capital base to pursue a fleet expansion in the coming year.

Denmark's Hafnia Tankers, which is controlled by equity fund Blackstone and aims for an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, will use its strong capital base to pursue an aggressive fleet expansion strategy at a time when asset prices in the second-hand market are on rock-bottom, projects US-based investment bank Seaport Global in an update following the carrier's recent publication of its results for 2016.
