Greece's lenient maritime tax fiercely criticized

According to the German finance minister, Greece has failed its commitment to tighter taxation of its shipowners. An EU solution with Greece is important for several EU member states.

Greek shipowners have been angered by a speech from Germany's finance minister Wolfgang Schäuble who accused the Greek government of dodging its promise to increase taxation of the country's shipping industry.
