BW Group orders a series of new product tankers

BW Group is now entering the LR2 segment with an order for at least six new product tankers with an option for two more. CEO of BW Pacific, Tina Revsbech, confirms the order to ShippingWatch.

BW Group, headed by CEO Carsten Mortensen, is now making its foray into the segment for large product tankers. The carrier has just placed an order for at least six LR2 vessels (Long Range) with an option for an additional two, reports Tradewinds Friday.
