Maersk has financed more than 100 customers in India

Maersk Trade Finance, which offers export financing to customers, plans to grow its credit business in India by USD 200 million in the year to come.

Maersk has surpassed 100 customers in Indian for its lending activities in Maersk Trade Finance, which was established in 2015-2016 for the purpose of offering financing solutions for export customers, reports India Times.

India was singled out as the first country when Maersk, on a trial basis, said it would test a new business area aimed at export finance. And according to Vipul Sardana, Global Head of Trade Finance, the business unit plans to finance India-based customers with another USD 200 million over the next 12 months.
