CEO: Japanese merger will be turning point for MOL

The Japanese container merger ONE marks a new beginning for the Japanese shipping group MOL, stated CEO Junichiro Ikeda in his New Year message. "A full-scale recovery is still in the making," he said.

April 2018 will see the launch of a crucial move for Japan's shipping group Mitsui OSK. This is when operations will commence in the new Ocean Network Express (ONE) where Japan's three largest carriers will combine their container activities, which were significant for the group's 2017, said CEO and Chairman of MOL, Junichiro Ikeda, in his New Year's speech.
