Coal industry warns Indonesia against new maritime law

Indonesia's plans to prioritize its own vessels in the country's large coal exports will prompt buyers to withdraw, warns an industry organization.

Buyers of coal in Indonesia, one of the world's largest coal exporters, are concerned about the country's new maritime law, reports Reuters. The new legislation would prefer Indonesia-flagged vessels when coal is exported out of the country.
