CEO of d'Amico is "firmly convinced" that product tanker will soon improve

2017 was a challenging year for the product tanker market and Italian carrier d'Amico, which suffered a large deficit. But the carrier maintains a "positive market outlook" for coming years, says CEO in the annual report.

Italy's d'Amico International Shipping saw its deficit grow in a year when the product tanker impaired the book value of three vessels, shows the annual report.

The deficit after taxes came to USD 38.1 million in 2017, a setback from a deficit of USD 12.9 million the year before.
