China announces soft response to US tariffs

China has responded to Trump's tariffs and plans to raise tariffs on a long line of goods from the US. But the Chinese reaction seems somewhat soft for now.

China plans to introduce retaliatory tariffs on US goods for a total USD 3 billion, says the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, according to international media.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has published a list of 128 US products that could be subject to tariffs in response to US President Donald Trump's announced tariff package on goods imported from China.
