Blackstone partner to help ensure APM Holding's strategy

A.P. Moeller Holding is bringing in a Dane from equity fund Blackstone as new chief investment officer. The appointment marks a key step in the company's strategy, says CEO Robert M. Uggla.

A.P. Moeller Holding, the A.P. Møller Foundation's investment company, has appointed a new chief investment officer.

Jan Thorsgaard Nielsen comes from UK-based equity fund Blackstone, where he has been since 2005 and serves as senior managing director. Starting this August, he will take over as CIO at APM Holding and become part of the executive board alongside CEO Robert M. Uggla and CFO Morten Larsen.
