CEO Smedegaard moved quickly in DFDS' Turkish acquisition

Turkish U.N. Ro-Ro, which DFDS is buying for close to a billion euros, will be a bridge to further expansion, CEO Niels Smedegaard tells ShippingWatch. The stock market has rewarded the acquisition with a major surge in DFDS' share price.

DFDS's senior management, headed by Chief Executive Niels Smedegaard and CFO Torben Carlsen, moved quickly to settle the EUR 950 million acquisition of Turkish ferry operator U.N. Ro-Ro.
