Shipping's new CO2 targets could undermine LNG as fuel

Carriers should consider carefully if LNG is a viable solution with the IMO's new CO2 targets, says Tristan Smith, leading maritime academic at University College London. According to ShippingWatch's information, the CO2 targets will be included when Hapag-Lloyd finally makes a decision on LNG at the next board meeting.
