EU takes stock: 5 percent do not comply with sulfur rules

The air along the coasts in several European countries has become more clean in terms of vessel emissions of hazardous sulfur dioxides SOx. Particularly in the environmental zones (ECA) in the North Sea, the Baltic Sea and the English Channel, where vessels have been banned from sailing on fuel containing more than 0.1 percent sulfur since 2015, shows a new report.
