False emails made Thorco Projects pay hacker

Thorco Projects, owned by the Stadil family, was tricked by a hacker last year who had taken over a well-known customer's email identity. The shipping company had to go to court to get the money back from the bank.

The Stadil family's shipping company Thorco Projects paid a bill of USD 81,500 to a hacker last year who posed as one of the company's well-known business connections in a series of bogus emails.
