Media: Large numbers of casualties at sea are not reported

Over the last four years, more than half of the investigation reports regarding casualties from serious shipping accidents are yet to be submitted to the IMO, according to Lloyds List.

A large proportion of investigation reports regarding shipping casualties over the past four years are yet to be filed, according to Lloyds List.

From January 2014 to March 2018, 58 percent of the mandatory accident investigation reports which should have been submitted to the IMO for analysis have not yet been sent to the public database.
