Report: Pirates have kidnapped 35 seafarers in the Gulf of Guinea this year

New figures on piracy in Nigerian waters confirm that the Gulf of Guinea is an epicenter for piracy at sea.

A total 34 vessels were attacked by pirates in the Gulf of Guinea in the first half of 2018, and 35 crew members were kidnapped, reports security firm EOS Risk Group in an update.
