Air lubrication device will save fuel on MSC ship

South Korean yard Samsung Heavy has installed a new air lubrication system on a vessel for container carrier MSC. The same device will be installed on two tanker vessels which Samsung Heavy is building for Celcius Tankers.

One of MSC's new mega vessels will be equipped with a new lubrication technology which will allow the vessel to sail more easily and lower fuel consumption, reports news media Yonhap.
