Newspaper: Trump escalates trade war with China

US President Donald Trump will likely already Monday take a new step in the trade dispute with China by placing tariffs on almost all of the US' annual import of goods from China.

The trade war between the US and China looks set to escalate already Monday, sources familiar with the events tell The Wall Street Journal.

News agency Reuters has also subsequently spoken to sources in the US central administration, which confirm the newspaper's sources.
