Chinese economic growth declines to a historical low level

Increasing debt problems and a trade war with the US has created problems in China's economy.

Economic growth in China declined to 6.6 percent in 2018. Although this may seem like a lot, it marks the lowest annual growth in the country since 1990, reports news media AP.

The last quarter of 2018 in particular saw growth slow down in China, according to figures from Chinese authorities. From October to December last year, the economy grew by 6.4 percent.
