Three yard workers lost their lives in South Asia

Three yard workers have lost their lives while scrapping ships for shipping companies in Bangladesh in the first quarter. A total of 142 vessels ended up on South East Asian beaches in the quarter.

Three yard workers have perished while scrapping merchant vessels for shipping companies on beaches in South East Asia in the first quarter, reports NGO Shipbreaking Platform, which is working to stop shipping companies' use of the infamous beaching yards where vessels are dismantled in the tidal zone endangering both workers and the environment.

Three people died in two separate accidents in Bangladesh.
