Sweden ready with new big hybrid ferry

A new hybrid ferry, which will primarily sail on electricity, is ready to sail on one of Sweden's busiest routes. The ferry is reportedly the country's largest so far.

Sweden's hitherto largest hybrid ferry is now ready to sail on one of the country's busiest routes, transporting more than 100,000 vehicles every month.

The hybrid ferry has been commissioned by the Swedish Transport Administration and is dubbed Tellus, reveals a press release from Danfoss, which supplied the electrical equipment for the new ferry.
