Pirates kidnap seafarers in two attacks off the coast of West Africa

Nine crew members have been kidnapped after pirates attacked Norwegian ship off the coast of Benin. And few days later, pirates have kidnapped four crew members from a Greek ship in the same region, reports Reuters.

A cargo ship belonging to Norwegian shipping company J.J. Ugland has been attacked off the coast of Benin in West Africa.

Nine crew members have been kidnapped. They are all from the Philippines, says Christine Korme, head of communications at the Norwegian Shipowners' Association, to Dagens Næringsliv.
