Security firm reports kidnapping of ten seafarers in the Gulf of Guinea

Thursday reportedly saw another kidnapping in the Gulf of Guinea, this time off Benin, where ten seafarers were abducted from a tanker.

Ten seafarers were reportedly abducted from a tanker off the coastal town of Cotonou, Benin, thereby underlining the frequency of kidnappings and attacks in the Gulf of Guinea.

Security firm Dryad Global reports on the incident, which happened while vessel Alpine Penelope was on its way to Lagos in neighboring Nigeria.
